I recently dove into machine learning and wanted a hands-on way to explore CUDA and PyTorch. That’s when I stumbled upon image generation, discovering ComfyUI, SDXL, LoRA, and a vibrant community creating style-specific models. LoRA models are super approachable. You don’t need to build from the ground up. Instead, you craft your unique style on top of an existing model. I picked SDXL because it seemed cool, was easy to set up in ComfyUI, and, honestly, I just wanted to jump in after waiting for the download. SDXL turned out to be a solid starting point.

Below, I’ve rounded up some awesome SDXL LoRA models I found. Each one has a link to the model and an image gallery to show off what it can do. I hope you find them as inspiring as I did!

Low Polygonal LoRA

As you can see here, this LoRA gives the original image a minimal 3D model render style. I like this one because it can take a fairly boring image and make it look like something pretty interesting and polished.

MC Escher LoRA

MC Escher’s hand crafted geometric mathematical style is a classic. He is one of my favorites and this LoRA is so fun to play with. You can transform any concept into a mind boggling, unique feeling piece of artwork.

Vintage Media LoRA

This one is really good at creating that sort of comical vintage poster look. Has that ridiculous grocery store tabloid feel. It is pretty strong. As you can see it kind of takes the general principle of the first image and does some exaggerations. This LoRA is a lot of fun and will produce some laughs, for sure. The Tocti Na!

Ink Sketch Style

This LoRA applies a very soothing hand drawn ink sketch style that feels like an intimate expressive entry in a journal. Really cool for giving that rough concept feel.

These are just a few of the styles I found when exploring this space. There are communities all over the place working on all kinds of different topics; Character consistency, brand specific styles, realism, and all kinds of experimental stuff.

Last week I even successfully trained my own LoRA model. I am not ready to release it though. Even though it came out amazing it could use a little more work. Within the next few months I aim to create a portfolio of very unique curated styles.
